5 thoughtful ways to celebrate Mother’s Day

It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday 30 March 2025. So we’ve put together a whole host of inspiring (and some unexpected) ideas to help you spoil your mum, partner, best friend, step-mum, mother figures in your life and mums-to-be at Meadowhall.

Whether it’s breakfast in bed, pampering beauty ideas, family sharing lunches with grandparents too or active days out together – here are all the best ideas for Mothering Sunday (also don’t forget the clocks go forward an hour if you book anything…).

1. The most wanted Mother’s Day gifts

For something she can treasure forever, Warren James, Gucci, Omega, Alexander Brown, Flannels, Breitling, Michael Kors, Swarovski and Frasers have beautiful jewellery and watches or be inspired at Pandora by creating a personalised piece with the children’s names and dates of birth – they also have a gorgeous Disney collection too. 2. Breakfast in bed…

Got little early risers? Then there’s no greater gift than some extra hours of sleep followed by a delicious breakfast in bed. Stock up on coffee, croissants, sweet treats and tasty juices at Marks & Spencer, Bakers & Baristas, Batch’d and Krispy Kreme. Serve it up on a gorgeous tray of pretty tableware from Flying Tiger Copenhagen.

3. Mother’s Day menus: brunch and lunch

Harvester’s Mother’s Day three-course menu (filled with ribs, roasted salmon, rotisserie chicken and smashed burgers) is £24.99 with unlimited salad or for big family sharing feasts with the kids and grandparents, book Zizzi, Las Iguanas, The Real Greek or Thaikhun.

From 28th – 30th March between 9am – 12pm, guests can enjoy 2-for-1 on Breakfast and Brunch menus at Frankie & Bennys.

If you want to do something for the two of you, book the babysitter and head to Caffe Massarella and Caffe Rizzoli for afternoon teas and date nights of prosecco, authentic antipasti and panini, fresh pasta, steak and chips, gorgeous cakes and more.

4. Family day out together

Make it a Mothering Sunday that’s full of fun and go for mini golf and bowling at Clubhouse (their junior menu has fish finger sandwiches, pizza and fries and churros), jumping at Jump Inc, gaming at Fun Station or rock climbing together at Rock Up.

Take a trip to Vue to see Disney’s Snow White then go for family-friendly menus at Five Guys, Nando’s, wagamama and YO!.
