Planning a night out in Sheffield? Looking for inspired things to do with friends?

Meadowhall has everything you need including brand new menus and launches including The Real Greek and Thaikhun; late-night shopping until 9pm every week day with openings including a huge new Zara, Townhouse, Mango and Lids; grown-up cocktails, fizz and sharing plates at Sienna Bar and Grill, Caffe Rizzoli, Caffe Massarella, Carluccio’s or movies at Vue cinema with street food from Nando’s, wagamama, Fridays and Slim Chickens.

1. An evening out at The Real Greek

Eating together over huge plates of honey-drizzled halloumi, warm flatbreads, fried calamari, skewers and souvlaki wraps with drinks including fruity whites from Halkidiki and tasty Xinomavro (Ksee-NOH-mavro) reds brings the sunshine of Greece direct to your table. The Real Greek is the perfect place at Meadowhall to escape together or meet up with friends with dinner menus from 5pm including the Filoxenia (four dishes for £20pp) and the set Kali Orexi (£15pp). 2. Embrace some chilled-out late-night shopping, pampering, drinks and dining

Open until 9pm on weekdays, take some time out with your other half or best friend and check out the brand new huge Zara, recent openings including Lids, Sweaty Betty and Mango then enjoy an elegant mani and pedi at Townhouse.

Then enjoy some cocktails or bubbles and delicious fresh pasta or miso salmon at Sienna Bar and Grill, prosecco and antipasti at Caffe Rizzoli, an aperitivo and Italian artisan cooking Caffe Massarella (open until 7pm) or bruschetta, risotto and steak and salad at Carluccio’s.

3. Enjoy a Thai feast at the newly arrived Thaikhun

Serving up Thailand’s world-famous flavours, head to Thaikhun for spicy curries, delicious Kai Soi Gai curried chicken noodle soup, flavour-filled vibrant noodles and stir fries, 2-for-£12 cocktails from Sunday to Thursday plus a dessert station featuring candy floss machines, chocolate fountains, homemade pancakes, and ‘Mr Whippy’ style ice cream machines.

4. Bowling, craft beers, mini golf, arcade games and delicious menus at Clubhouse

Clubhouse is the essential destination for an evening out with friends in Sheffield (start your evening with two-for-£12 cocktails from 12-5pm). Order up Affogato Martinis; share delicious plates including burgers, sliders and club sandwiches (Wing-It Wednesdays are all about unlimited wings for just £10 with any activity); book one of seven bowling lanes, hit the Clubhouse photo booth, go mini golfing, shuffleboarding or play darts and simply enjoy a seriously good welcome. 5. New menus at wagamama and Las Iguanas

wagamama is bringing new mains of coconut kare with chicken, hoki or butternut squash alongside our fresh koyo bowl options of pulled shiitake or thai beef salad for noodle lovers. Sharing light bites include beef brisket + kimchee gyoza or edamame, truffle + pulled shiitake gyoza and kokopanko chicken which is garnished with a sriracha mayo. Desserts include yuzu basque cheesecake or momo meringue while cocktails include strawberry shiso mojito.

Las Iguanas now has Cheesy Peru Fondue with crispy chunks of potato and fried cauliflower bites for dunking; Triple Taco Taxis with your choice of veggie chilli, chipotle chicken or achiote lemon fish, gooey Jalapeño Poppers or Ensalada Asada; fiery Caruru curry, now available for the veggies with butternut squash and jackfruit and Wrayning Flamingos cocktails served with candy floss or a Mezcal Margarita.

6.Don’t miss the latest movies at Vue

This year’s big movies include Deadpool & Wolverine (26th July), Furiosa (24th May) and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (5 September).

With 14 screens, catch the latest blockbusters and arthouse releases in the comfort of Vue Meadowhall. They’ve got Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream, a friendly team and it’s the perfect evening escape – with two for one tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Meerkat Movies plus Sky Cinema gives you two free tickets a month.

7. Make sushi with YO!

8. Head to Zizzi for a joyful night out

9. Go head to head at Funstation

Shake up your evenings out with friends at Funstation (open 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on the weekend) with competitive VR games, arcade prizes and carnival fun, it’s also a really good alternative date destination.

10. Burgers, wraps, pizzas and more at Meadowhall

Sometimes all you want to do with friends is eat some delicious street food and Meadowhall has all the best spots in one place. For Southern style chicken tenders and peri-peri cravings, head to Slim Chickens, Popeyes and Nando’s; Pizza Express for dough balls and pizza; Five Guys for seriously good burgers and Jollibee for hot dogs, ChickenJoy, Jolly Spaghetti and Peach Mango Pie. Yum.

11. Plan your very own Air Haus and Jump Inc parties

From 6-7pm daily, adults and students can enjoy the Air Haus fun for £5pp. Or hire it out for an evening to remember with inflatables, pizza and Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream. Find out more here. Or head to Jump Inc which specialises in parties and corporate nights out in their urban playground.

Free parking and easy transport links

There are 12,000 car parking spaces available at our free car parks including 350 disabled spaces. We also have more than 50 EV charging points to charge your electric or hybrid car during your visit.

Sheffield’s Supertram runs through Meadowhall up to every ten minutes – and you can grab a DayRider ticket from £5.40 on the app – or if you’re travelling from further afield, hop on the train to Meadowhall station.
