Christmas Fundraising Results

A total of £31,980 was raised through a series of events throughout December, including performances from local choirs and community groups.

Fundraising efforts at the centre also included over £5,000 from sales of the limited-edition Meadowhall gift card donated to support charity partner Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

Sheffield Hospitals Charity funds support for patients and staff, life-changing research and more, enhancing care from birth to the end of life and everything in between.

Other charities that will benefit from the funds raised include the Roundabout Homeless Charity, Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice and Retina UK.

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said: “We’re delighted that our community could come together over Christmas to support those in need.

“It’s brilliant to see our visitors really embraced the spirit of giving at a very challenging time for many. They should be proud that their donations will help to make such a difference to everyone that these fantastic charities support.”

To all visitors who joined us this Christmas and took part in donating, give yourselves a big pat on the back for contributing to such a fantastic amount!
