Meadowhall Teacher of the Year Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. The promoter is: Meadowhall Nominee 1 Limited and Meadowhall Nominee 2 Limited each of York House, 45 Seymour Street, London, W1H 7LX (the “Promoter”).
  2. The title of the competition is Teacher of the Year Competition
  3. The competition will run from 11:01am Monday 8th July 2024 (the “Opening Date”) to 11:59am on Thursday 18th July 2024 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive until the Promoter (at its discretion) opts to close the prize draw.
  4. All competition entries must be received by the Promoter via the entry method specified at condition 5 by no later than 11:59pm on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the final Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
  5. Enter the competition on lovemeadowhall Facebook or Instagram channels by commenting one sentence on why your child’s teacher deserves to win the prize by the closing date.
  6. The competition is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary.
  7. The Promoter will not accept:
    1. responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged, or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
    2. proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
  8. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  9. One winner will be selected at random from all qualifying entries submitted by Thursday 18th July 2024 (the date of selection being the “Selection Date”).
  10. The Promoter will decide how many winner(s) it wishes to select in its absolute discretion.
  11. The competition is only open to parents of school aged children.
  12. Teachers cannot enter themselves or other teachers, and students and their parents cannot nominate family members. Entries of this nature will not be accepted and immediately disqualified.
  13. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter will require the nominee (teacher) to provide proof of place-of-work/ school identification upon collection of prize to determine that you are eligible to enter the competition.
  14. The competition is open to all residents (within the restrictions of Clauses 11 and 12 above) except:
  1. Employees of the promoter or its holding subsidiary companies;
  2. Employees of agents or suppliers of the Promotor or its holding subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
  3. Members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
  1. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
  1. automatically generated by computer;
  2. completed by third parties or in bulk;
  3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
  4. photocopies and not originals; or
  5. incomplete.
  1. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
  2. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  3. The prize is a £250 Meadowhall Shopping Centre Voucher valid for 12 months.
  4. Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize.
  5. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
  6. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  7. The Promoter will contact the winner via Facebook or Instagram direct message or via email if this has been provided in order to collect contact details of the winning teacher in order to communicate information relating to the collection of their prize.
  8. The winner of the prize will have 2 days from the promotor contacting the winner (or nominator in accordance with Clause 22 above). The prize will be available to collect from the Management Suite Customer Service Desk. If you do not respond to the direct message by this date, your claim will become invalid and the Promoter will withdraw.
  9. Upon collection of the prize, the winner must make available place-of-work/ school identification to determine that the winner complies with conditions 11 and 12 above.
  10. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
  11. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the first initial and surname of major prize winners to anyone who emails [email protected] or writes to the address set out in condition 1 (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the Closing Date of the competition.
  12. If you object to any or all of your initial and surname being published or made available, please contact the Promoter by emailing[email protected]In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  13. Please allow 14 working days for delivery of the prize which can only be collected from Meadowhall.
  14. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
  15. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within 2 days of the Selection Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
  16. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
  17. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  18. The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the privacy notice available here: https://www.britishland.com/privacy-notice. See also conditions 25 and 26, with regard to the announcement of winners.
  19. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
  20. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
  21. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
