The Big Trends for Summer 2026
The sun is out and we’re ready for summer. Whether packing for holiday looks, summer weddings, days out at the races or sunshine-filled breaks on the beach, Meadowhall is the place to find this season’s most-wanted trends for men, women and kids.
From lace dresses that work for festivals and parties to men’s casual looks via this season’s la dolce vita prints, be inspired by our round-up of the best new looks to shop now.
Retro glamour from the Nineties and Noughties
For Noughties, look to Sienna Miller at her boho best with chunky leather belts and cowboy boots paired with drape dresses and, for the Nineties, it’s Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. Slip camisoles, midi skirts, ballet flats and slicked back ballet buns are the way to go.

Holiday packing
In charge of packing for the family’s suitcase? For her, it’s all about clever one-piece swimsuits (see Boux Avenue and Marks & Spencer for inspiration) that can be paired with tailored culottes and shirts and bandeau dresses that can be rolled up and accessorised.
For him, quick-drying swim shorts that can double as day shorts (Marks & Spencer) plus neutral T-shirts are essential. For kids, mix and match fun accessories including SPF-protecting swimwear, Disney and Hello Kitty sunglasses, hats and jelly shoes or Crocs (H&M is great).
Kidswear at H&M
Head to Marks & Spencer, H&M, Kids Around, River Island, Mango, New Look, Primark, TK Maxx and Zara.
Men’s summer looks
Relaxed, sunshine vibes are all that’s needed to update your wardrobe for summer. Think oversize tees and jeans matched with sandals or linen shirts paired with longer shorts and espadrilles. Bucket hats, polarised sunglasses and a chain will finish off your look.
Shop at Pull & Bear, Bershka, Jack & Jones, H&M, Hollister, Fat Face, River Island, Mango, New Look, Next, Flannels, Marks & Spencer, Primark, TK Maxx, Tommy Hilfiger, Urban Outfitters Pull & Bear and Zara.

Wedding guest wardrobes
TV series Rivals is a major inspiration for summer 2026 wedding dressing (think big polkadots and maximalist florals) but, for of-the-moment style, it’s Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s London-registry office wedding that’s really hitting all the boxes with Dua’s barely there-blue coloured suit and wide-brimmed hat conjuring up the iconic Bianca Jagger wedding outfit. Callum’s double-breasted monochrome navy suit from Ferragamo is also a go-to look for men this summer. For kids, go smart with beautiful dresses and tailored shirts to complete the look at Olivers and Kids Around. And if you need to find a beautiful and original gift, The Lanes is full of independent stores…
Head to Reiss, Mango, Flannels, Frasers, French Connection, Marks & Spencer, Tommy Hilfiger, Zara, Boss, Moss and Hawes & Curtis.

Sports club style
With the FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon and Women’s Cricket World Cup taking over this summer, sportswear-inspired looks are everywhere. Working across men, women and kids, it’s about mixing and matching team tops, short and longer shorts (Adidas’s Firebirds are having a moment) and baseball caps with more preppy, tailored cuts. Head to Crew Clothing, Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger for the smart buys and JD Sports, Marks & Spencer, Foot Locker and Footasylum for the brand finds.
At-the-races fashion
For race fashion, go for classic tea dresses in chiffon and silk, oversize hats, clutches, this season’s wedges and trouser suits. Mango has some gorgeous dress shapes including boat-neck cuts, Fifties’ full skirts with cinched waists and strapless bandeaus while Reiss has beautiful prints inspired by the New York Botanical Garden’s rare book collection – their wideleg trouser suit is stunning. Also check out Phase Eight for fascinators and headbands alongside Flannels, Frasers, French Connection, Marks & Spencer, Tommy Hilfiger and Zara.
All in the detail
Add your twist on summer dressing with this season’s detailing. Look for romantic lace trims on shorts, vests and dresses, over-the-top fringing on bags and skirts with buttons, zip and cutout detailing on tops. Add silk scarves to your bag, reach for oversize black sunglasses and go…
