We’ve had strawberry and cherry and now the comforting, nostalgic banana is having its moment in the summer sun. 2. WAG beauty

5. Edible scents

7. The new launches to know

8. Glowing skin
Despite talk of matte skin making a comeback, the major look for your complexion this summer is ultra-hydrated glowing skin (with freckles for extra). While poolside, cloud, blonzing, toasted terracotta and more keep popping up as this week’s skin trend, ultimately it’s about creating an effortless just-back-from-two-weeks-in-Amalfi glow.

9. Low-contrast brows

Brow expert Hollie Parkes explains: “Think diffused, sun-kissed and subtly lightened rather than peroxide blonde,” says Parkes. “Try using a brow mascara that’s one or two shades lighter than your natural brow colour before committing to any colour services. It gives you a really good idea of how a softer brow will change your overall look.”

10. Shellac lips
High-gloss, lacquered finished lips as seen on Selena Gomez and Rihanna are bringing the luxe. 12. Blue eyeshadow
Blue eyeshadow is everywhere from statement eyes a la Nineties supermodels to lower lid liners. 13. Korean lash treatments
Superdrug is launching the Korean Lash Lift across all its stores this year. The Korean Lash Lift offers a gentler alternative to traditional lash lifts, using a cysteamine-based formula designed to lift lashes from the root while helping to keep them healthy, hydrated and strong.
Unlike traditional lash lifts, which often create a more pronounced C-curl, the Korean Lash Lift focuses on a straighter, more lifted effect. The result is a defined lift, soft curl and feather-light finish that grows out smoothly.
14. The big nail trends
Butter yellow, Yves Klein blue and forest green are the statement colours (try essie Original Summer Soulstice Butter Yellow Nail Polish, Chanel’s Denim and Nailberry’s Galactic) while fruit, polka dots and crystals are the embellishments taking over. For more ambitious finishes, ombre, rainbow and metallic tips and jelly reign supreme. Or simply go for clean girl minimalism with understated shades of champagne beige and pink at Townhouse.
