Miracle skin products, edible scents and fruit flavours, nostalgic beauty looks and beyond… summer 2026’s beauty is all about having fun, experimenting and protecting your skin.

Meadowhall is home to some of the world’s leading beauty stores including Sephora, Space NK, Flannels’ and Next beauty halls, The White Company, Boots, Superdrug, The Perfume Shop and The Fragrance Shop plus Molton Brown, L’Occitane, Kiko Milano, Bath & Body Works, The White Company, Yankee Candle, Rituals and Lush – so be inspired and dive right in this summer…

1. Go bananas

We’ve had strawberry and cherry and now the comforting, nostalgic banana is having its moment in the summer sun. Pick up Glossier’s Banana Pudding Balm Dotcom Lip Balm at Space NK or try for Lush’s Banoffee Pie shower gel and body butter while The Body Shop’s anti-frizz Banana Smooth & Shine Shampoo is perfect for summer locks in need of some love. Also try Ellis Brooklyn’s Banana Milkshake and Juliette Has A Gun Banana Rush scents at Sephora

2. WAG beauty

Inspired by the original football WAGs of 2006 (Victoria Beckham, Cheryl Cole and Abbey Clancy), it’s a WAG summer of big hair and high-octane glamour. For the full done curls and shapes of the original crew, try the Revlon One-Step Blow-Dry Multi Air Styler 5-in1 at Boots or Dyson’s Airwrap Hair Styler from Boots and Argos

3. Skin first

Multi-tasking effective beauty has been a huge trend for the past couple of years thanks to Korean brands including Torriden, Cosrx and Harharu Wonder (all available at Mii Korean Skincare) but skin-first is also about taking time out for professional treatments that support and protect your skin. Book into Townhouse, itreatskin and Beauty Boutique

4. Summer beauty set season

Now’s the time to pick up some incredible summer bargains with beauty sets galore. Trinny London’s new The Summer Edit is a curated collection of travel-friendly beauty essentials including its signature stackable makeup, skincare minis, BFF SPF 30 and Trinity, the ultimate multitasker for lips, cheeks and eyes plus its See The Light Moisturiser SPF 50 Mini, a travel-sized version of the brand’s bestselling daily SPF. Worth over £225, the Space NK The Travel Edit is the must-have mini beauty edit for summer 2026. It features Then I Met You Cleansing Balm, iconic Tatcha The Dewy Cream, hydrating Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, Medik8 SPF 30, Augustinus Bader SPF 50, the Milk Makeup Grip Set & Refresh Spray and Amika Frizz-Me-Not Hydrating Anti-Frizz Treatment. 6. PDRN is the ingredient of the moment

K beauty has put PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) in the spotlight; promising to boost collagen production, strengthen the skin barrier, revitalise tired complexions and improve skin texture. Try Medicube’s PDRN Pink Peptide Serum, Medik8’s Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ and Genabelle PDRN Rejuvenating Cream at Mii Korean Skincare, Sephora, Space NK, Flannels, Boots and Superdrug

7. The new launches to know

Summer means some of the biggest new launches (P Louise has just arrived at Meadowhall Boots) while other new releases to know include Fit Me Loose Powder, Summer Shot Bronzing Drops, Lifter Gel Gloss and Super Stay Peel Off Lip Liner Stain from Maybelline New York; Glow Recipe Limited Edition Pride Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner, available at Sephora; KAYALI’s Boujee Kitty Caramel Milk | 22 (out 27th July) and the uplifting body scent of Charmed Daise at Superdrug

8. Glowing skin

Despite talk of matte skin making a comeback, the major look for your complexion this summer is ultra-hydrated glowing skin (with freckles for extra). While poolside, cloud, blonzing, toasted terracotta and more keep popping up as this week’s skin trend, ultimately it’s about creating an effortless just-back-from-two-weeks-in-Amalfi glow.

Go-to products include REFY Water Bronzer, Half Magic’s Cheek Fluff Soft Blur Cream Blush, No7 Pro Artist Bronze & Glow Multi-Stick, Phlur Beach Skin Shimmering Body Oil and Studio London’s Flaunt Flawless Bronzing Stick.

9. Low-contrast brows

Bleached brows have been everywhere but for those who want to give it a go but in a slightly less radical way: meet low-contrast brows. Brow expert Hollie Parkes explains: “Think diffused, sun-kissed and subtly lightened rather than peroxide blonde,” says Parkes. “Try using a brow mascara that’s one or two shades lighter than your natural brow colour before committing to any colour services. It gives you a really good idea of how a softer brow will change your overall look.”

Go for Rare Beauty, Glossier and Maybelline at Space NK and Boots are perfect or head to Brows and Mint Nail & Brow Bar

10. Shellac lips

High-gloss, lacquered finished lips as seen on Selena Gomez and Rihanna are bringing the luxe. To get the look, go for a long-lasting liner (Refy, Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Kiko Milano) with a thick gloss such as Laneige JuicePop Box Lip Tint, Rare Beauty Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss, Dior Dior Addict Lip Glow, Fenty and Maybelline at Sephora, Space NK, Boots, Superdrug and Kiko Milano

11. Summer bathing rituals

Rituals is leading the trend for some serious self-care using bathing to protect, nourish, and enhance skin, before, during, and after sun exposure with its renewed Ritual of Karma collection. Enriched with lotus flower and white tea, the Shimmering Body Oil is pre-holiday prep in a bottle. L’Occitane, Molton Brown, L’Occitane, Bath & Body Works, The White Company and Lush also have hydrating and cooling bath bombs, shower gel and moisturisers for summer-ready skin.

12. Blue eyeshadow

Blue eyeshadow is everywhere from statement eyes a la Nineties supermodels to lower lid liners. From baby blue to bright aquamarine, it’s a quick and easy trend to pull off – try Sephora’s multichrome retractable eyeliner, Kiko Milano’s eyeshadow 3G and Chanel’s Les 4 Ombres Denim Dream. Head to Sephora, Space NK, Flannels and Next

13. Korean lash treatments

Superdrug is launching the Korean Lash Lift across all its stores this year. The Korean Lash Lift offers a gentler alternative to traditional lash lifts, using a cysteamine-based formula designed to lift lashes from the root while helping to keep them healthy, hydrated and strong.

Unlike traditional lash lifts, which often create a more pronounced C-curl, the Korean Lash Lift focuses on a straighter, more lifted effect. The result is a defined lift, soft curl and feather-light finish that grows out smoothly.

14. The big nail trends

Butter yellow, Yves Klein blue and forest green are the statement colours (try essie Original Summer Soulstice Butter Yellow Nail Polish, Chanel’s Denim and Nailberry’s Galactic) while fruit, polka dots and crystals are the embellishments taking over. For more ambitious finishes, ombre, rainbow and metallic tips and jelly reign supreme. Or simply go for clean girl minimalism with understated shades of champagne beige and pink at Townhouse
