JD Sports £500 Opening Giveaway Terms & Conditions 

  1. The promoter is: of Meadowhall Nominee 1 Limited and Meadowhall Nominee 2 Limited each of 20 Triton Street, London, NW1 3BF (the “Promoter”).  
  2. The title of the competition is JD Sports £500 Opening Giveaway. 
  3. The competition will run from 11:59am on 31st July (the “Opening Date“) to 11:59am on 7th August (the “Closing Date“) inclusive or at an earlier time or date determined by the Promoter if: 
    1. all prizes have been won; or 
    2. forced to do so by circumstances outside its reasonable control. 
  4. All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 11:59am on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.  
  5. Enter the competition online by completing the following fields on the Meadowhall Facebook and/ or Instagram channels by the closing date: 
    1. Like the post available on Instagram and/ or Facebook. 
    2. Tag a friend. 
    3. Follow @lovemeadowhall and @jdsports on Facebook and/or @lovemeadowhall and @jdsports on Instagram 
    4. Download and sign up to the JD Status app. 
  6. The competition is free to enter with no purchase being necessary. 
  7. The Promoter will not accept: 
    1. responsibility for competition entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure, or lack of internet or mobile network connectivity of any kind; or 
    2. proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition. 
  8. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. 
  9. The winner will be selected at random from all qualifying entries on 7th August, or within 7 days of the Closing Date.   
  10. The Promoter will decide how many winner(s) it wishes to select in its absolute discretion.  
  11. The competition is open to all residents in the UK, except: 
    1. employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies; 
    2. employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or 
    3. members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above. 
  12. The Promoter may ask the winner to provide proof of age and/or confirmation of eligibility to claim your prize. 
  13. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter and claim your prize.  
  14. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition. 
  15. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are: 
    1. automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications); 
    2. completed by third parties or in bulk; 
    3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; 
    4. photocopies and not originals; or 
    5. incomplete. 
  16. There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. 
  17. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition. 
  18. The prize is a £500 JD Cash total, available only through the JD Status App and one is available to be won. 
  19. The Promoter is not responsible for the winner’s use of the prize once collected. All use is entirely at the winner’s own risk. This includes foodrelated prizes, for which the Promoter accepts no responsibility for allergic reactions or adverse effects. 
  20. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes: 
    1. liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence to the extent preserved by section 2(1) of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977; 
    2. liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or 
    3. any liability that cannot legally be limited.  
  21. Each prize is subject to the individual terms and conditions of the respective Supplier. Participants are solely responsible for locating, reviewing and adhering to the applicable Supplier terms and conditions.  
  22. Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative to the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes where necessary. 
  23. The prize is supplied by JD Sports of Hollinsbrook Way, Pilsworth, Bury, Gtr. Manchester, BL9 8RR (the “Supplier“)].  
  24. The prize is not negotiable or transferable. 
  25. The winner of the competition will be announced via @lovemeadowhall Facebook and Instagram channels on 7th August (“Announcement Date”). If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. 
  26. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. 
  27. The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted. 
  28. If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 14 days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by replying to the email provided in the winner announcement direct message. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid. 
  29. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. 
  30. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date. 
  31. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize. 
  32. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 
  33. The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the British Land Privacy Notice. See also condition 28 with regard to the announcement of winners. 
  34. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition. 
  35. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so. 
  36. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
