Meadowhall Host Andy’s Man Club Sessions

Andy’s Man Club has launched a new weekly peer support group at Meadowhall to support men’s mental health and provide a welcoming space to talk in a safe and supportive environment.

The free sessions will take place at Meadowhall every Monday (except bank holidays) at 7pm, within Meadowhall’s Management Suite.

Andy’s Man Club is a UK-wide peer support group helping men through difficult times by offering a safe, judgement-free space for those aged 18+ to talk as much, or as little, as they like. Sessions are free, confidential and run on a first name-only basis, with no need to book.

The charity was founded in 2016 after Andy Roberts, a 23-year-old father from Halifax, sadly took his own life. In response, his mother Elaine and brother-in-law Luke set up a free talking group for men facing difficulties, with a mission to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health through conversation.

Today, Andy’s Man Club supports more than 6,800 men every Monday evening, across 350 locations nationwide, from Dingwall in the Highlands to Launceston in Cornwall, as well as online.

As part of its ongoing commitment to the local community, Meadowhall is providing a welcoming, well-connected location, with free parking and transport links, helping make support even more accessible.
